Performance Art Intervention

Chapter 3

"It matters little whether these miracles happened or not; what matters is the message his spectacles communicated"

I liked this part because in every artistic project I always try to share a message or a personal experience that I had before, I feel like communicating with the public it's a very important for me or every artist to get to know the people's opinion and how they receive it.

"While it’s often impossible to change the physical realities of our situation, we can change the ways in which people make sense of that reality"

I founded this part interesting because it is something that I'm going to try with my Art intervention The attempt to help others look at things in a different way by making it positive seems something unique to me since it would be a demonstration for me that for almost anything there is a solution.

Chapter 4

"At the same time, the Culture we produce necessarily arises from the everyday culture in which we live".

I liked this because I know it's true because in my art projects I always want to share with others the culture that I came from, showing the diversity of the cultures in general and sharing with a creative way it's something that I really enjoy doing.

"Our sense of possibility is limited by what we can imagine, and our  imaginations are bound by the culture within which we imagine".

I find this true because there's sometimes that I have a creativity block and I feel like I'm out of ideas but then when I talk with another person I start getting new ideas from different point of view or person and it makes me feel like I can think so much more to get ideas for my projects.

                                                          Using Our Fears

1. Make a painting that represent your fear 

2. Leave an empty space

 

3 Make people write their biggest fears on the painting

4. Show the art peace that everybody created 

Something that is everybody's weaknesses is their fears usually our fears make us feel weak and like everything is going to be bad but in this project I tried to show that we are strong we can use our fears to create something good and very beautiful like a painting using our artistic side.

Yoko Ono - Cut piece 

I took this performance as a reference because i liked the idea of making the public to participate on the artwork and it helped me to show that everybody can be an artists and the making people to cut her clothes to share her message and making them participate on the performance is something unique and inspirational.

Kazimir Malevich's Black Square

I picked this art piece because I like his inspiration to create something abstract and just been a black square it dominates the canvas as "grand refusal, repudiating nature in favor of abstraction"
